Admissions

Northampton Primary Academy Trust welcomes children to join schools in our Trust both at the start of their school life (the academic year during which they turn five years old) and as a transfer from another school either at the beginning of an academic year or at any point during an academic year.

Pupils with an EHC Plan will be allocated a place where the school is named as being the appropriate provision.

All applications for admission must be made through West Northamptonshire Council: www.westnorthants.gov.uk/primary-school-places

Where applications for admission exceed the number of places available, the following criteria will be applied, in the order set out below, to decide which children to admit:

After the admission of children with an EHCP naming the school as appropriate provision, where there are more applications than there are places available, children will be admitted according to the following criteria, which are listed in order of priority:

1. Looked after children and all previously looked after children

2. Siblings

3. Children of Trust staff employed to work at the school

4. Children who live nearer to the school than any other publicly funded st ate school with an equivalent year group

5. Other children

Lings Primary School was last inspected in March 2023. 

"Pupils are happy coming to school. They appreciate and enjoy the wide range of activities on offer. Leaders ensure that there are a range of activities to enrich pupils’ lives…….The school celebrates the broad cultural heritage of its locality.
